ALUMNI INVITED (Similar to last year, one change regarding bonfire):
Alumni have been formally invited to play at the Noon-in-the-Park concert in Warren on Friday June 13th and also for the concert at Buhl Park (PA) on Sunday the 15th (Father's Day).
Note: Our alumni family picnic is on that Saturday the 14th in Poland. See http://www.wjmbalumni.org/calendar.aspx for details and directions.
If alumni are not professional musicians and are interested in playing during one or both concerts, they should plan to attend one or more rehearsals during band camp. Rehearsal times for alumni are during the previous Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7 pm - 9 pm at Joseph Badger Meadows camp. If instruments are needed, the band will try to supply them where possible (more brass instruments are available than others).
Cabin 3 is going to be reserved for any alumni who are interested in staying at camp overnight.
** Also, alumni have been invited to an Alumni Bonfire behind Cabin 10 (senior guy’s cabin) on Friday June 13th. It is planned to start around 11 pm and is for alumni 18 and older only.
ALUMNI *HELP NEEDED*:
Bingo workers are needed for MON JUL 7th and THU JUL 10th. They need at least 4 more people to work since several regular workers will be on tour with the band. These additional people will likely be used mainly for selling instants and cards and possibly to help in the kitchen. Volunteers should be there by 6:30 pm (by 7:00 pm if necessary) and may be able to leave after about an hour, though Bingo usually runs until about 9:30 pm. Volunteers are supposed to receive free concessions, so you can plan to eat dinner there. It is preferred that any volunteers would perhaps come to a bingo night sometime during the previous week so they would know a little better what the job entails.
